This extension ("YouTube Monetization Checker") estimates whether a YouTube channel shows public monetization signals. This document explains exactly what data it handles.

Summary

• No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no tracking.
• Reads only public YouTube page data; analysis happens in your browser.
• The only personal information that can ever leave the extension is an email address you type yourself into the optional newsletter box.

Data stored locally on your device (never sent to us)

• Check results cache — verdict, score and evidence for channels you checked, kept up to 7 days via chrome.storage so repeat checks are instant. The popup's History tab reads this same local data; you can clear it any time.
• Optional YouTube Data API key — if you paste one, it is stored only in your browser and used solely to call Google's official API (googleapis.com).
• Optional Gemini API key + model choice — stored only in your browser and used solely to call Google's Gemini API when you click "Check with AI".
• UI preferences — language/model settings.

Network requests the extension makes

• Public YouTube pages (youtube.com) — fetched to read public monetization signals of the channel being checked. Processed locally.
• YouTube Data API lookups — public channel/video metadata (subscriber count, video durations, licensed-content marks). With your own key these go directly to googleapis.com; without a key they are routed through our lightweight proxy (a Cloudflare Worker) that holds a shared key. The only data sent is the public channel/video IDs being checked; the proxy keeps no logs of who checked what.
• Accuracy feedback — only if you click 👍/👎 — a single request with the checked channel ID and your yes/no vote goes to our backend (a Google Apps Script endpoint) to tune accuracy. It contains no name, email, account identifier or profile of any kind.
• AI recheck — only if you enable it — with your own Gemini key and an explicit click, links to a few public sample videos of the checked channel are sent to Google's Gemini API (generativelanguage.googleapis.com) under Google's API terms. Never runs otherwise.
• Newsletter signup — only if you submit it — the popup has an optional email field. If, and only if, you type your email and press subscribe, that email is sent to our mailing-list provider (Brevo) to receive MCN-related updates. You can unsubscribe from any email. This is the only personally identifiable information the extension can ever transmit, and it is never collected automatically.

What we do NOT do

• No selling or sharing of data with third parties beyond the service providers above acting on our behalf.
• No analytics, tracking pixels, or browsing-history collection.
• No use of data for advertising profiles, credit-worthiness or lending.
• No remote code — all executable code ships inside the extension package.

Data retention

• Local cache expires automatically (7 days) and can be cleared from the popup or by uninstalling.
• Feedback votes are kept in aggregate form to calibrate accuracy.
• Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe.

Tóm tắt

• Không tài khoản, không đăng ký, không phân tích hành vi, không theo dõi.

Dữ liệu lưu cục bộ trên thiết bị (không bao giờ gửi cho chúng tôi)

• Bộ nhớ đệm kết quả kiểm tra — kết luận, điểm số và bằng chứng của các kênh bạn đã kiểm, giữ tối đa 7 ngày qua chrome.storage; tab Lịch sử trong popup đọc chính dữ liệu cục bộ này; bạn xóa được bất kỳ lúc nào.
• Khóa YouTube Data API (tùy chọn) — chỉ lưu trong trình duyệt, chỉ dùng gọi API chính thức của Google (googleapis.com).

Các yêu cầu mạng tiện ích thực hiện

• Trang YouTube công khai (youtube.com) — tải để đọc tín hiệu kiếm tiền công khai của kênh đang kiểm. Xử lý cục bộ.
• Tra cứu YouTube Data API — metadata công khai (số người đăng ký, thời lượng video, cờ nội-dung-được-cấp-phép). Có khóa riêng thì gọi thẳng googleapis.com; không có khóa thì đi qua proxy nhẹ của chúng tôi (Cloudflare Worker giữ khóa dùng chung). Dữ liệu gửi đi chỉ là ID kênh/video công khai đang kiểm; proxy không ghi log ai kiểm kênh nào.
• Phản hồi độ chính xác — chỉ khi bạn bấm 👍/👎 — một yêu cầu duy nhất gồm ID kênh đã kiểm + phiếu đúng/sai gửi về backend của chúng tôi (Google Apps Script) để tinh chỉnh độ chính xác. Không kèm tên, email, định danh tài khoản hay bất kỳ hồ sơ nào.
• Kiểm tra bằng AI — chỉ khi bạn bật — với khóa Gemini của riêng bạn và cú bấm rõ ràng, liên kết vài video mẫu công khai của kênh được gửi tới Gemini API của Google theo điều khoản API của Google. Không bao giờ tự chạy.
• Đăng ký nhận tin — chỉ khi bạn gửi — popup có ô email tùy chọn. Chỉ khi bạn tự gõ email và bấm đăng ký, email đó được gửi tới nhà cung cấp danh sách thư (Brevo) để nhận tin về MCN. Hủy đăng ký được trong mọi email. Đây là thông tin cá nhân duy nhất tiện ích có thể truyền đi, và không bao giờ được thu thập tự động.

Những điều chúng tôi KHÔNG làm

• Không bán/chia sẻ dữ liệu cho bên thứ ba ngoài các nhà cung cấp dịch vụ nêu trên hoạt động thay mặt chúng tôi.
• Không analytics, không pixel theo dõi, không thu thập lịch sử duyệt web.
• Không dùng dữ liệu cho hồ sơ quảng cáo, đánh giá tín dụng hay cho vay.
• Không mã từ xa — toàn bộ mã thực thi nằm trong gói tiện ích.

Thời gian lưu giữ

• Bộ nhớ đệm cục bộ tự hết hạn (7 ngày), xóa được từ popup hoặc khi gỡ tiện ích.
• Phiếu phản hồi giữ ở dạng tổng hợp để hiệu chỉnh độ chính xác.
• Email nhận tin giữ tới khi bạn hủy đăng ký.

Miễn trừ trách nhiệm

Mọi kết quả đều là ước tính xác suất từ dữ liệu trang công khai, không phải bằng chứng về việc ai nhận doanh thu. Tiện ích không liên kết, không được xác nhận hay kết nối với YouTube hoặc Google.
